Emily Tasker- Owner/ Head Trainer
Emily has been riding since she was 4 years old. Throughout the years she has trained in Hunters, Jumpers, Eventing, and Dressage. Her true love is found in teaching her horses to use every bit of themselves with balance, engagement and strength. She feels that this is best shown in Dressage and Eventing, but makes all disciplines even better. Emily has ridden with many top instructors including Deb Dean-Smith, Suzi Gornall, Sinead Halpin, Tik Maynard, Leslie de Grandmaison, Eric Smiley, Lucinda Green, Kirk Webby, and Joe Forest. Taking the equestrian sport seriously and being committed to producing straight, happy and well balanced horses and riders is one of Emily's most important goals. She also wants to make sure that her students never forget why they started riding- for the fun! Emily looks at how horses are experiencing each situation and how to teach her students to understand where they are coming from and how to best communicate with them. She wants even her littlest students to think of the horse first and learn how to be part of their world, not just use them in ours. If you are interested in starting lessons at FHE, contact Emily at foxhilleq@yahoo.com and she can set you up with the time and instructor who will work best for your goals and schedule. |
