- A multifaceted approach to training can help give your horse the tools that it needs to be a better partner.
Emily considers the horse's body type and personality when thinking of the best way to train them. Her goal is to produce a horse that is confident in their work and that truly understands the tasks at hand. She hopes that all of the horses that she trains can find the fun in solving the problems that she presents to them so that they enjoy their work.
Along with correct riding, Emily routinely uses ground work in her training. Round pen work and long line work can help a horse develop their minds and bodies without the extra stress of the rider.
Green and "problem" horses are some of Emily's favorites. She feels that an even stronger bond can be developed once the horse is understood and given the correct training. She believes that developing a mutual trust with a horse allows them to have the confidence needed to naturally progress in their training. Her patience and experience give her the tools needed to bring out the best in every horse, at every level.
Training packages are quoted per horse.
For Lease
Leasing is a great way for a rider to get more of a feel of horse ownership and more time in the saddle without having the full expense of owning a horse. We encourage all of our students to lease a horse before deciding to purchase their own.
We offer our school horses for on farm lease to current students. This helps students have a chance to practice what they learn in their lesson and can give them more confidence and pride in their riding. Our school horses are well trained for both beginner riders and also advanced riders wishing to move up in their training or compete.
All on farm leases are partial leases, and include one 60 minute lesson per week (4 per month), first rights to the use of a horse at a clinic or show.
Lease price begins at $300
