Camp
Camp is open to both current and new students ages 5+. Camp is a great way to learn all aspects of horse care in a short amount of time and make new friends. Here are our upcoming camp dates: April Farm Kid Camp = April 24-27 $75/day or $275/week Think SPRING and get our garden soil ready, start seeds, learn about garden layout, welcome our new chicks into the flock, paint and build things for the horses, and more! We offer a fun and different learning environment where the kids are encouraged to problem solve and work together to learn about caring for animals and the earth. Experiential learning is one of the most impactful ways to gain confidence and respect for yourself, others, and the world around you. Summer Farm Kid Camp = Mondays July 10- August 21 $75/day or $500/ 7 weeks Farm Kid Camp is great for anyone ages 6+ who wants to enjoy nature, learn to care for animals, and connect with the earth through gardening. We will gain confidence, team build, and appreciate the world around us through experiences and projects. Getting dirty, spend time in the sun and making new friends are just some of the things our farm kids can look forward to. Horsemanship Camp = August 8-10 $75/day or $210/ 3 days Horsemanship is so much more than just riding. In this camp you will learn about how to truly be WITH the horse. Can you sense what they are feeling? Do you know what motivates them? Are you able to communicate with them without the halter or bridle? This camp is focused on learning how horses think, communicate, learn, and have fun. We will use unmounted communication skills like round penning, clicker training and learn the difference between R+ an R- training and how it can all be used to have a better relationship with any horse we come into contact. This camp is great for anyone ages 6+ who wants to learn more about horses and themselves. No prior horse experience needed- but even those with years of experience will find new levels of knowledge and everyone will have lots of fun! |
